    • 1. DESCRIBING A PICTURE

       Describe ONE of the four pictures below using as many prepositions of place as you can. Include the description of the person/people in it (physical appearance, clothes, actions, feelings). Consider the following example:

         
       

      Remember that to describe a person or people, you need to talk about appearance and personality.  It's important to consider the questions What does he/she look like? What is he/she like? (Vocabulary Bank, page 150)

      2. DIALOGUE
      In pairs, create and deliver a dialogue of about 2 or 3 minutes about your last holidays or the ones you particularly remember. Consider the following questions:
       

      1.    Where did you go? 

      2.    When did you go?

      3.    Who did you go with?

      4.    Where did you stay?

      5.    What was the food like?

      6.    What was the weather like?

      7.    What were the people like?

      8.    What did you do during the day?

      9.    What did you do at night?

      10.  Did you have a good time?

      11.  Did you take pictures?

      12.  Did you have any problems?

      13.  Have you ever been on holidays with the wrong person? Explain.

      14. Have you ever visited a foreign country? 

      3. READING ALOUD

       Get ready to read “One dark October evening”

    • 1- Complete the different activities included here.

      2- Be ready to describe Mendoza in around 100 words using the vocabulary from activity 1.

      3- In your description, include 3 superlative forms and 2 Present Perfect structures.

      • How is Goran travelling?
        • He is travelling by plane, because he is arriving at Stansted Airport.
      • Who's going to meet him at the airport?
        • Sally and her family are going to meet him in the Arrivals area.
      • Why does Sally ask him for his phone number?
        • She asks for it because it is not saved in her phone.
      • What two things does Goran need to decide before he answers?
        • He needs to choose which bedroom he wants (the big shared one or the small private one).
        • He needs to confirm his flight dates and times (including his return date).
